The first blow is the diagnosis and then you are told you'll lose your hair
Hi all,
When you are told that you have Cancer initially, there is so much that you have to consider and there is so much information given to you. After some time you may be told that you have to have Chemotherapy and for some this means that they will lose their hair and this can be devastating as the hairloss can mean the end to the person that they know. The hair can define your look and when that is gone , you feel like a totally differant person - now on the outside as well as on the inside. There are solutions to that through Wigs and Bandanas and scarves and there is also the 'cold' cap in some hospitals. The thing is how do you feel even when these solutions are made available to you? can we tell each other our experience and maybe make it a little easier for the people that are facing into this stage of their treatment?
Kind regards,
Lou
